Aussie made to meet Aussie standards

With the Australian economy suffering at the hands of this unprecedented health pandemic, it is more important for Australians to be purchasing and supporting Australian made and manufactured products.

We encourage you to check the origin of the steel and where the silos are actually manufactured. Cyclone Silos are a registered Australian Made product. Unfortunately other business are being disingenuous, with what they are claiming to be Australian Made. Cyclone and Optimum are committed to Australian manufacturing.

Designed and made in Jindera NSW, out of the highest quality Bluescope Australian steel, Cyclone Silos are the nation’s number one choice for grain storage. Why? Because no other grain storage system uses premium quality Australian materials, is designed for Australian conditions, is competitively priced, AND meets Australian standards. That’s why we choose to erect Cyclone silos.

AN IN-DEPTH LOOK

Whatever you’re sowing - wheat, barley, canola, oats, lupine, corn - a Cyclone Grain Silo will provide the ideal storage solution come harvest. An Australian-made Cyclone Silo from Optimum Silos comes with many advantages, some of which include:

● Large wall sheets with fewer joints and bolts than most other silos,

● Wide corrugation profile which limits the risk of ‘hang-ups’ which can harbour insects or fungi, and lead to grain spoilage,

● High quality galvanised construction,

● Heavy-duty,

● Designed to be sealed to meet Australian standards,

● 30 degree roof incline for maximum capacity,

● Ladders and platforms that meet Australian safety standards.

Optimum Silos engineered spiral stairs are also the only silo stairs on the market that meet Australian Safety Standards. In addition to our spiral stairs, the Optimum team will custom engineer aeration components, foundations, and heavy duty unloading augers to suit your operation.

GUARANTEED TO LAST

We Australian farmers operate in a tough environment. From long periods of drought and months on end of extreme heat, to sub-zero winter temperatures; these extremes take a toll on the land, and in turn your grain. Cyclone Silos are built tough to suit Australian conditions. With an increase in the intensity and frequency of extreme weather, Cyclone grain silos were recently re-engineered and upgraded to offer 1 in 200 year weather event certification. With a Cyclone Silo you’ve got peace of mind that your produce is being protected by the most effective grain storage solutions on the Australian market.

CASE STUDY - 20 YEARS AT BOREE CREEK

In 1999 the Optimum Silos team constructed the Boree Creek GrainCorp site from scratch. Included in this set-up were: - 8 x 3000t Cyclone Silos (which can all transfer to each other), - Rail outloading, - Road in and outloading. The site is run off a PLC Touch Screen system, which was the height of technology when the install took place. Though the site has a huge setup, rated at 250t/hr, and has had an enormous amount of grain pumped through it over the past 20 years, it has required minimal maintenance. This is testament to the quality of the Cyclone products.

FUN FACT: Optimum Silos Director Joel Murphy played his part in the install at Boree Creek, planting trees as part of the project to keep himself occupied when he was just 12 years old!

It’s all in the speckle; galvanising processes are not all equal. The Australian steel industry has access to the best coking coal and the best iron ore (high grade hematite to be accurate) in the world. The high quality and consistence quality of steel produced by BlueScope allows the galvanising process to also be consistence. This bright sliver speckle will fade over time but a consistence fading process shows a consistent process and the highest quality steel from the beginning.
